Please Note: Even though the Shells have been coated with spray enamel, They can can be considered water resistant, not necessarily waterproof. The paint or glitter may smear or dissolve in liquid.
If you are interested in International delivery, please contact us for postal rates to your destination. The U.S. Postal Service charges a little more than listed for shipments to Alaska and Hawaii.
Your purchase will normally be sent within 2-3 days after payment via USPS, the US Postal Service. I usually ship using Priority Service which I find is safer going through the mails & is normally delivered within 2-3 days after acceptance at a post office (unless First Class Parcel is appropriate for the mailing). Priority does include a standard $50 insurance max value paid out if needed based on the price of the purchased item, the shipping cost is not included in the $50 insurance. If you prefer more insurance on your purchase, contact me and I will be able to give you a revised shipping cost.
It is the buyer's responsibility to make sure the shipping address(es) are correct both with etsy and Paypal and any credit card.
USPS shipments to Alaska, Hawaii or US Territories are a bit higher than noted in a listing. If you're interested in International delivery from the USA, please contact us for shipping costs to your intended destination.
If insurance is included in the shipment & there is breakage, the recipient of the package is required to bring the damaged item(s) and all packaging to their local post office for inspection. THE DECISION TO ALLOW A DAMAGE CLAIM IS AT THE DISCRETION OF USPS. If allowed, a starter file is entered there & I complete it on my end with the insurance receipt, etc.
International import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item's purchase price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchasing. Seller assumes no responsibility for interruption of delivery caused by non US postal or customs authorities.
As an FYI, the USPS' International shipping rates have gone up between 60% to 105% in recent years. Also, domestic mail prices within the US have increased but not as much as International shipping costs.
Payment accepted through PayPal, personal Credit Card or Etsy Gift Card; payment is due at time of purchase.
If you prefer to pay by credit card but don't have a PayPal account, choose the option 'PayPal' and then click the option 'pay by credit card'. If an order remains unpaid with 48 hours, I will have to end the sale.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Additional return information
My goal is that you're happy with your purchase. However, if you feel you need to return the merchandise, please contact our shop within three (3) days after receipt. If an insured item is damaged during shipment, hold onto the merchandise & packaging; see above for further information. If an uninsured item is damaged or lost during shipment, we will do our best to work with the customer. Fineoldthings does not promise a full or partial refund for the cost of uninsured merchandise and/or shipping Buyer is responsible for postage on exchanges or refunds unless there is an error on my part.
Items from FINEOLDTHINGS are sold "as is" if they are vintage or antique.
If instructed by the Buyer, I'll send the purchase to a third party, someone other than the Buyer. A personalized notecard can be included under my hand. A business card from FINEOLDTHINGS is regularly enclosed in a shipment, unless the buyer instructs us not to enclose a card.
If a prospective buyer asks for a "Reserve" Hold on an item, we will usually grant the Reserve for a period of three (3) days unless other arrangements have been made between Fineoldthings and prospective buyer. After the 3 days, FINEOLDTHINGS has the option of putting the item back for Sale since the Reserve time limit has not been met.
FINEOKDTHINGS cannot accept responsibility for any injury sustained by the use or handling of vintage, antique or handcrafted merchandise. This is especially true with children since smaller items can pose a choking hazard. Please, know your children and buy accordingly.
Your package may not be mailed in a new envelope or box. we use recycled boxes and packing material when I can to help preserve the environment.
