Happy Diwali! Three years ago, I created this calendar for my children in order to decorate and increase our excitement as well as knowledge about Diwali. You can make your own countdown magnet calendar or hang the cards as a banner, poster or as decoration!
Finally, we are able to share our calendar with you!
Your festive Diwali countdown calendar starter kit contains: 1. 30 round cards numbered 1-30 in beautiful Indian patterns 2. 27 round cards each telling the story of Navratri and Diwali 3. 3 round cards for wishing Happy Navratri, Happy Dusshera and Happy Diwali.
Materials needed for magnet calendar: 1. 30 2 inch round favor tins (eg Wilton) 2. Color printer and paper 3. Modge Podge or glue 4. 30 magnets (Home depot or Loews) 5. Magnet board (staples or Office depot) 6. Cardstock
***Please remember that because our holidays are based on the lunar calendar, the dates and intervals vary year to year. The first day of Navratri to Diwali is always roughly 28-30 days but varies. Some years may be shorter than 30. In that case, we do 2 cards on one day to "catch up" on that year. Thanks!
