This free form cabochon is from the Kingman, Arizona Mine. The cabochon was hand cut and polished in my home shop in Florida. It is roughly pentagonal in shape, and is a really pretty robin's egg blue with some splotches of green and some copper colored matrix. It is highly polished on all surfaces to a diamond grit of 50,000, though one edge has a small pit. The bottom edges are beveled. The turquoise is stabilized but is not dyed. It is very hard and durable and is suitable for any jewelry application.
