The Name: Picking Wrinkles in Maine
The true name for a "Wrinkle" is Periwinkle, a small sea snail that is found on the ledges when the tide goes out. Here in Maine, we call them "Wrinkles" and people will gather them to sell to make a little extra money. As a child, I used to see if I could be quick enough to pick them up and try to get them out of their shell before they shrank back inside and closed their little door tight. I never did win that game.
I recommend hand washing and lay flat to dry. I recommend hand washing separate for the first few washes as minimal color bleeding may occur.
A note about hand dyed yarn:
No two skeins are identical. If you are going to need more than two skeins for one project I will pick the skeins that are most alike and I recommend alternation skeins every two rows in your project so that the yarn will blend. :)
All yarn is from a smoke-free, cat-friendly environment, who is not allowed near the yarn.
Please remember that color differs from monitor to monitor.
