You're looking at a pair of my resin costume horns, made with my type #6 "Jacob" moulds.
Please read the bullet-points to be sure what you're buying.
✻ This version of the #6 horns are cast in black resin.
✻ Plain and brown colours are available in other listings, as are versions of each with a basic black wash already applied.
✻The second image in the listing shows a comparison of the three basic colours as well as size information.
✻They weigh approximately 137g per pair.
✻The horns are super-light and very strong, using a thin rigid resin skin infilled with light rigid foam, making them perfect for extended wear as part of headdresses or costumes.
USING THESE HORNS
There is a small untextured area at the base of each horn intended to facilitate trimming to whatever mounting angle is required, hopefully limiting cuts required on the textured horn portion. (A junior hacksaw is usually adequate for this purpose)
The resin used will accept a wide variety of plastic paints. Primer may be necessary in some cases. You may wish to test your favoured brand on the trim area before committing to painting the whole horn.
Horns that already have an effects wash will likely not take additional layers of paint well. I recommend selecting base pigmented horns if you intend to paint them.
Each pair is cast together, but there may be variations in tone and evenness of colour between pairs sold of any type. Please consider any pigmentation a general background colour, and not a finished appearance.
These horns are sold for use as findings in assembling more complex costumes, outfits or displays, not as final products for immediate wear.
The filler foam is stiff enough to be drilled through and wired in place without tearing, though the horns are generally light enough to be held in place with fabric glued up around the base.
Inside the UK items are sent by 2nd Class Recorded. Outside the UK it is usually by International Tracked & Signed.
Australia does not support signing-for on receipt or tracking, so items will ship there by standard parcel post.
Delivery of items is always by tracked postal services (Royal Mail Tracked & Signed, or closest variation) which include protection for loss and damage. This has an advised international delivery speed of 5-7 days to the countries I've listed specific prices for. Tracking numbers will be provided on shipping.
Very large items or orders may require the use of an international courier if the combined dimensions exceed 90cm, or a single dimension exceeds 60cm. In the cases of courier, a contact phone number may be required by the booking agency.
As costume parts, I send them as novelty costume items which are zero-rated for import tax in most countries to the best of my knowledge.
Returns & exchanges
Returns cannot be accepted for overseas (outside of the UK) orders. Refunds will be given with photographic evidence of manufacturing flaws or shipping damage.
Due to the potential for delays in overseas postal delivery, refunds due to apparent loss in transit will only be given once compensation has been received from the carrier. With Royal Mail services, claims cannot be started until 20-25 days past due delivery and may take up to 90 days thereafter to investigate and respond.
"Sold as seen", "production seconds" or "clearance" items are not eligible for return on the basis of manufacturing flaws.
Individual items may contain slight variations between instances such as minor detail skew, difference in colour shade or change of material brand/make used.
Please contact me for shipping damage issues as this will need to be taken up with the relevant shipping service to make a claim.
All materials are made to the best of my ability for light-duty costume and crafts use.
