the story of my yarns:home raised on my own farm, hand shorn on my own family farm by professional caring expert shearers who come visit my farm and stay for home cooked lunch and friendly chat, hand picked and cleaned by my own two hands, washed and dyed by me in colors from my farm (i take my inspirations form the herbs and flowers that grow wild in our woods among the flowers and fruits i planted years ago when we moved here to raise my two amazing sons), the fibers in this yarn are what i call my "farm blend"(they include fibers from my alpacas, my assorted sheep, my mohair goats and my angora rabbits), then those amazingly soft and luscious fibers are hand spun by me... i take my time spinning and i spin most days all day long, reveling in the memories of the animals who lovingly gave me that fiber each year i let the yarns spin as they want to, curling around each other as if the animals were playing with each other in the sunshine, i dont force the fibers to coil in certain patterns or be a specific width instead allowing them free reign as i do my animals when i spin these farm blend yarns, letting it decide how it wants to be spun, this way of spinning i call "farmspin" it makes gorgeous cowls, shawls, hats and scarves not to mention lap blankets. the yarns are super soft with great drape and fun colors.... i know you will enjoy my yarns as much as i do...thank you for looking...
