This adorable plush armadillo is named Aquene. She is made by Douglas Co., Inc in Keene, New Hamshire. She is being sold here as an accessory to any of my handmade southwestern-style Native American doll outfits. She is 8" long, new with tags, machine washable and recommended for ages 3+ She is house-trained, very peaceful and will not bite.
This is her story: Kaya loves to go to Pow-wows. It was there she met a Navajo girl her same age named Aijanna, which means "Blossom". Aijanna invited Kaya over for the lunch. They had a lot of fun making sweet potato tacos and playing with Aihjanna's pet armadillo, Aquene, which means "Peaceful." Aihjanna explained to Kaya that the armadillo totem stands for safety, grounded, strong boundaries, trusting, reclusive, and peaceful. "He's very peaceful and won't bite," Aijhanna said, "but don't try to pet him. He's as prickly as a cactus!" The girls spent the afternoon showing each other dance steps. Both girls were very good dancers. They became lifelong friends. Aquene would love to be best friends with your doll.
