Antique white lace is inset in white fabric. Lace edges on the bottom with a thicker lace inset as well. This was originally created for use as a bed skirt for one side of the bed. It's ready to be reimagined for whatever you'd like. It would look great sewn on the bottom of a shower curtain, as a valance, cut and sew for a simple curtain project.
This lace piece was hand made with love and was part of the hope chest of a Turkish woman. Turkish culture truly values hand made crafts and young women traditionally made many the decorations to bring to their new homes upon marriage. These pieces were made by needle point. There is great history and craftsmanship in these pieces, yet they fit so well in the contemporary cozy farmhouse style.
