This listing is for one (1) packet of 50 Strawberry Spinach (Chenopodium capitatum) seeds collected from our own plants.

Native to the US, this plant is also known as Strawberry Sticks, Strawberry Blite, Beet Berry, Indian Paint, Indian Ink. It is used as a culinary plant, as both leaves and berries are edible. Leaves taste like mild spinach can be eaten raw or cooked and are high in vitamin A and C. Berries are slightly sweet and add texture and color to salads.

The berries are also used as a dye for skin and textiles and can also be used as a food coloring.

This plant has also been used as a lotion for black eyes and bruises.

Requires full sun and rich, fertile soil.
Can grown to 18" high and 12" wide.
