This 3 strand brass box clasp was entirely hand fabricated in my home studio in Florida using metal upcycled from a vintage silver plated brass tray. The clasp features a hand cut cabochon, also made in my home studio. I think the stone is a dendritic agate, though it may be a jasper...I am not sure. I purchased the slab a while ago and don't recall the name of the stone. But is quite striking with black inclusions on a mustard and cream colored background. It almost looks as if a design were painted onto the stone-- but it is not; it is an integral part of the stone.
The clasp measures 34 mm wide including the loops, and is 31 mm long and 13 mm thick from the dome of the cabochon to the bottom of the clasp. The brass has a brushed finish and is coated with a protective lacquer to prevent color change or skin discoloration. This clasp will give a unique and elegant finish to your beaded masterpiece
