Our collection of beautiful, lead and cadmium free brass findings are stamped from the original vintage hubs and dies created by master craftsmen in our local area of Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts, at one time the costume jewelry capital of the world.
Unless indicated, most pieces have hollow backs. We have found that thick adhesives, like E6000 work well on most surfaces.
Whether from vintage stock or newly made stock, all our findings and stampings go through a rigorous quality control system:
First. We inspect the raw stampings, culling out any incomplete or off center stamps.
Second. The raw, brass findings are polished, then electroplated or antiqued in a variety of finishes according to our strict quality standards.
Third. Each order is picked just for you. Because finishing is done in small batches, color variations may occur. We hand select each piece from our inventory to make sure the pieces we ship are as closely matched as possible.
Fourth. Pieces are given a final inspection. We do any necessary touch ups like antiquing, cleaning or buffing before carefully packaging and shipping to you.
We hope you enjoy using these exquisite examples of American craftsmanship in your own creative projects.
