Vintage stamps are one of the best ways to dress up an envelope. Each vintage stamp you place on an outgoing envelope has a piece of history with it, and certainly a sense of timelessness that the recipient will enjoy as they receive your envelope and letter.

Whether for collecting or using, this Federal Duck Stamp will make the perfect addition to your stamp collection or the next envelope you plan to send out.

● Issuing country: USA
● 1996-1997 - Surf Scoters by Wilhelm Goebel (1960- )

* Duck Stamp History
* In 1934, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Migratory Bird Hunting Stamp Act (or Duck Stamp Act), and an increasingly concerned nation took firm action to stop the destruction of wetlands vital to the survival of migratory waterfowl. Under the act, all waterfowl hunters 16 years of age and over must annually buy and carry a Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamp - better known today as a Federal Duck Stamp.
