This pair of gorgeous, ornate button hooks are quite a find! Hooks originally were sold in sizes appropriate for both glove and shoe buttons. In the early 1880s a sewing machine used to attach buttons to high top shoes was invented. Shoe buttons themselves were usually made of fiber or glass. When World War I made leather scarce, high top shoes went out of fashion taking button hooks along with them.

Measurements:
• 1: 5.75" x .5" x .25"
• 2: 3.25" x .3" x .25"

Wear & Tear:
• Minimal amount of rust on the extended metal portion (not on the ornate parts)

We know how excited you are to receive your vintage piece, so I do my best to ship your order promptly. In most cases orders are shipped within 2-3 days. In the rare case that I'm unable to fulfill that timeframe (out of the shop hunting for treasures, on vacation, sick, etc.) I will contact the buyer and make proper arrangements. I also do my best to ship using recycled packaging in order to keep down on creating more waste while still providing a personal touch to each package.

Once placed, orders cannot be canceled, but can be exchanged for alternate items if the order has not shipped.

Shipping options are your choice based the time frame that you need it by. Please communicate with me if it is a time sensitive item and I will do everything I can to ship out as quickly as possible.

We try to describe our items as honestly, as accurately AND to the best of our knowledge through both text and pictures, listing any known imperfections (holes, stains, scratches, cracks, etc.). But keep in mind you are buying previously loved items (20+ years old) so a small amount of wear should be expected. Occasionally something small may slip by us. We will only offer a refund if an item has been seriously misrepresented - minus shipping.

We do not offer a refund due to incorrect sizing, as we take extra care to list every and all measurements. All approximate "fits like" sizes are a rough estimate. Tag sizes of vintage & modern day sizes often differ from each other. We suggest comparing the measurements of this garment to a similar garment that you already own to see if the item will fit you.

Additional policies

As you're probably aware, sizes have changed throughout the various decades of fashion. It's best to consult the actual measurements of an item rather than just the size listed on the tag. We will do our best to provide the sizing from the tag, as well as actual measurements for every item.

All measurements are taken while laying flat in inches and then converted into centimeters. If you're unsure about fit, it's best to measure a similar piece from your wardrobe to compare.

If you would like care instructions for your particular garment, just let us know and we would be happy to provide them.
