Item details

Beautiful hand dyed alpaca yarn made from our very best alpacas. We skirt and select fleece from the saddle that is silky soft to touch, even and fine and has beautiful lustre. Our fleeces are then processed at a Adagio Mills, a local specialised alpaca mill in Orange.

This yarn is made from fleeces kindly donated by Indigo, Coco, Everilda, Blossom and Surprise.

Each skein was individually handdyed by The House of Wool. As such you may notice slight variations in colour between each skein. We recommend knitting from alternate skeins.

This beautiful yarn feels soft, spongey and bouncy - just wonderful to for knitting up cosy shawls and scarves, and a perfect for a mid-weight jumper that still retains excellent warmth. We suggest that you block a swatch to check your gauge is correct.

The yarn is 300/100g. It comes in 100g skeins.

As the yarn has been gently processed without the harsh chemicals used in most commercial processing, you will find some occasional flecks of vegetable matter from the paddock. This can easily be removed with tweezers.

Completely grown and processed in Australia.
