Item details

This listing is for a vintage Kodak Brownie 8 2-Lamp Movie Light. This is a model 1, 375 watt lamps max, kodachrome movie film type A-16 frames per second. This is a 2 lamp light made by Kodak in the 1960s. Light is in good vintage condition but has not been tested and is being sold as is.The sticker in back suggests that you use 300 or 375W reflector photo lamps, but also that the lamps 'become quite hot & may shatter'. This would make a great prop for a movie or play and is collectible. Comes with a power cord. Light measures 3" tall at tallest point and 7" wide at widest point.

SIZING INFO
Vintage clothing fits differently than modern clothing, which is cut loosely to fit a wide variety of body shapes. Vintage clothing is cut much closer to the body than you may be used to. For this reason, it is important that you allow enough wearing ease to move comfortably while wearing your vintage garment. Vintage garments should always be worn with care and consideration of their age.Vintage garments were often tailored to fit an individual woman and evidence of seams and darts being taken in or out is not uncommon. For this reason, it is often possible to have a vintage garment altered to fit you if your measurements are off by just a bit. I am happy to answer any questions about available seam allowances, darts, and hem allowances before you purchase.

MEASURING YOURSELF
Use a dressmaker’s tape measure, which you can get at your local fabric store.
Measure yourself over the undergarments you plan to wear & not over your clothing.
BUST: measure over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra.
UNDER BUST: measure around the fullest part of your ribcage, about midway between your bust and waist.
WAIST: measure around the smallest point of your waist where it naturally curves in.
HIPS: measure around the fullest part of your hips. This is usually about 8"-9" below your waist.
SHOULDER TO WAIST: Measure from the top of your shoulder, where a normal shoulder seam would lie, down the front, following the curve of your bust.
LENGTH: measure from the top of your shoulder, where a normal shoulder seam would lie, down the front, to the point you want the garment to end at the hem.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please send a message before purchasing.

Additional policies

The Bang Cult STRIVES to measure as accurately as possible all vintage items. That said, we STRONGLY recommend that you take time to get to know your proper vintage size (and style) before purchasing. Find your favorite clothing items- measure off of these articles of clothing before purchasing any vintage clothing- here or elsewhere. ALSO know that some cuts/styles/eras aren't flattering on all body shapes- unfortunately. Above all please ask us specifics in terms of sizing and we will try to accommodate. Garments are measured with them lying flat and then you can double that size where applicable.

If an item can be laundered we will do so before selling, but some Vintage items are delicate and may require hand washing or dry cleaning.

Colors/textures of items may vary from computer to computer depending on your monitor settings. Please keep this in mind when ordering your items!

Reserves/holds are available for 24 hours. If you need more than 24 hours please contact me. For reserves longer than 24 hours a non-refundable deposit is required. Please do not reserve an item if you are not 100% sure you will purchase it. We have the right to refuse a reserve request.

All items are vintage so they may not be 100% free of minor defects, as they have been loved already. Any imperfections are minor and are described to the best of our knowledge.

Layaway is offered on a case by case basis and generally on higher priced items. A non-refundable deposit is required and payment is generally due in full in 30 days.

And lastly---remember all items are vintage and have been dearly loved by someone before you. We do always try to list items that are in good condition that you will enjoy while they last! We cannot guarantee or predict the life of a vintage item. What we can guarantee you though is this....when you choose to buy and wear vintage clothing, you are choosing to own something that has stood the test of time, is all in all better for our environment and is for the most part one of a kind! When you don't dress like everyone else, you don't have to think like everyone else!
