Potassium Sorbate - 1/2 oz Package

Potassium sorbate is used to inhibit molds and yeasts in many foods, such as cheese, wine, yogurt, dried meats, apple cider, soft drinks, fruit drinks, and baked goods.

Many herbal dietary supplement products generally contain potassium sorbate, which acts to increase shelf life by inhibiting mold and microbes that spoil products.

Use potassium sorbate together with potassium metabisulfite (campden tablets) to stabilize wine, ciders, and meads and to keep them from refermenting when bottled, reducing the chance of carbonation and blown corks or exploding bottles.

Suggested dosage: 1/2 teaspoon per gallon
