I assembled this small travel-sized watercolor art journal and painting kit using a new metal storage tin with black exterior and white enamel interior - it's 3 1/2" x 4 5/8" in size, and is 5/8" deep. If you have your own half-pans at home, you can fit up to 18 half-pans into the tin if you use the center storage area for more half-pans. The lid has a very tight and secure fit; it's painted with white enamel underneath, so can be used as a mixing palette if desired. There is also a fold-out white enamel-painted mixing palette, making this small travel painting kit very handy for painting even large plein air paintings! The center of the storage tin can be used to hold paintbrushes, sponge, pencils, or even more paint pans! There is a folding ring on the back of the storage tin that allows you to clip this painting tin onto your belt or painting storage bag or purse.
The 12 plastic half-pans of Daniel Smith watercolors are: Pyrrol Red, Sedona Genuine, Piemontite Genuine, Amethyst Genuine, Hansa Yellow Light, Black Tourmaline Genuine, Green Apatite Genuine, Serpentine Genuine, Blue Apatite Genuine, Lapis Lazuli Genuine, Monte Amiata Natural Sienna, and Sicklerite Genuine. The pigments with "Genuine" in their names are from Daniel Smith's wonderful Primatek line of natural mineral paints. I hand-filled the plastic pans and air-dried them in a smoke-free environment. They're wonderful for painting landscapes, with lovely granulation, intensity of color, and transparency.
I've also included: a 5 1/2" x 8" Strathmore Series 400 soft-cover watercolor journal (the cover is decoupaged with one of my simple watercolor landscapes from the American SW deserts of Utah) with 24 pages of acid-free, neutral pH, 140 lb cold-press finish watercolor paper (10 sheets) in landscape format; plus a round waterbrush and a half-pan of M. Graham Titanium White gouache.
This has been made and stored in a smoke-free environment. Shipping is by USPS Priority or International First Class Mail - I do combine shipping for multiple purchases. 100% guarantee.
I try to ship within 1 business day following orders for items in stock. My husband is a transplant patient, so we have frequent medical appointments that sometimes require hospitalization - if this occurs, I will contact buyers to ensure that they approve any shipping delays that might occur, and will refund 100% if the delay is unacceptable to the customer. So far, we've not had more than a day or 2 delay due to medical issues.
We'll accept money orders, checks, or PayPal. Washington state tax is included in the sales price.
