Rare Fordite Designer Cabochon Old Ford Stock (I-033)
It Measures 34x18 mm -dome 6 mm weighs 4.5 grams with a High Glossy Finish and Stunning, Array of Firry Brilliant Multiple Colors in White. Red Blue, Black, Yellow Brown and Orange waving across and through the cabochon Radiating around one outstanding Conglomerate mix of these colors arranged beautifully in the center shooting up the center of this cabochon. Wavy lines of all colors are complimented by the verity in this unusual Cabochon. It is very nicely polished to a great shine and the pattern is a multi Array of fine different color lines of many paint colors that was used. On the back of this Medium size Cabochon are Waves of tiny lines of different colors which makes it just as interesting as the face.
This cabochon is part of a collection shown on ETSY as a complete collection and my husband has agreed to allow me to break up the Collection and sell one Cabochon at a time. They are out of the old Ford Plant in Detroit and have been in his collection for many years.
Fordite, is sometimes known as Detroit Agate or Motor Agate depending on what area it came from. It is beautiful formations of car paint that was used in the now old obsolete automobile factories in Detroit and other areas of the eastern USA.
Those old factory procedures of painting Fordite with a High Glossy Finish and Stunning, array of Multiple Colors in White. Turquoise, Red, Black, yellow Brown and Orange waving across the cabochon Radiating around one outstanding Conglomerate mix of this colors arranged beautifully in the center of this cabochon. Wavy lines of all colors are complimented by the verity in these Waves of tiny lines.
