Pickerel Hyacinths (hardy) are ideal planted at the margins of a pond in shallow water, submerged up to 12cm (5"), water filled containers weighed down with gravel & loam, or poorly drained moist/boggy clay soil, where it will spread producing lush large spear head shaped leaves and spikes of pale blue flowers in late Summer. Attractive to bees and butterflies, this plant also provides an egg laying site for dragonflies.
Large bare rooted plant supplied, wrapped in damp news paper, plastic packet and transported in a cardboard box, ready to plant may have some flowers present too.
