Large Beautiful French 17-1800's Church Windows Blacksmith Anvil
It weighs 118kgs or 260 Lbs
This type of anvil is built from several pieces of wrought iron firewelded together, which can be clearly seen on the front arches. It has the french "pig anvil" shape, with a sloping top and very thick horn, but I have never seen another with the cathedral steps up the sides and arches on the front. I bought it at a french tool auction which was selling the very large collection of a tool collector. He had several very old unique anvils but this was the one I wanted the most.
Anvil is in fairly good condition. The Anvil hasn't been cleaned, repaired or tampered with, and retains it's original patina, that took hundreds of years to achieve. It is stamped on the front with a serial number.
The Anvil measures 25" from heel to the tip of the horn. It is 5 1/2" across the top flat. It stands 1 foot high and the base measures 15 1/2" x 8".
Serious offers considered. Hammers not included!!!
