This Jersey Wooly rabbit fiber color is called 'seal'. The babies are born black with a brownish blush as as the bunny gets older the fiber turns a dark gray with brownish tips. I combed this fiber from my bunny who is shedding her coat. The staple length is 1-inch to 2-inches. It is very soft. I especially like to use this length of premium fiber for nuno felting and for blending. The top color in my baby hat example was handspun from fiber like this; it is a two ply fingering weight yarn, 100% Jersey Wooly.
