PDF digital download of Retro Post-WW2-style, vintage-looking apron with neck and waist ties, scalloped apron skirt, and halter-style bib. Apron front, bib and contrasting trim are faced. Can be made as a half-apron.
This apron takes skill in gathering, pinning and topstitching. Fabric needed for full-size apron: 2 yds, total including 1-1/2 yd of main print and 1/2 yd contrasting 42” wide fabric for waistband, waist ties and pocket and bib trim. Use lightweight cotton, cotton blends, poplin, pique, seersucker, quilting cotton, or shirting fabric. Seam allowances (½” or 1.27 cm) are included in the cutting dimensions of the pattern. Pattern can be customized to larger sizes by cutting neck ties and waist ties longer.
Downloads include separate components for the main apron pattern, the contrasting waistband--ties-and-trim patterns, and also for the photo instructions. I have also included a separate download for instructions for printing out your PDF pattern using screen shots.
This PDF pattern prints out 15 (fifteen) 8-1/2" x 11" sheets of paper for the main apron, 9 (nine) for the contrasting colors, plus five sheets of instructions using Adobe Acrobat Reader, available at https://get.adobe.com/reader/. Instructions include photo illustrations. To print using Acrobat Reader, go to File/Print and then go to Page Sizing and Handling. Click on Poster and click the box that says Tile Only Large Pages. Then click Print.
