Item details

Made with hand washed and dyed Suffolk cross wool, from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. There is some lanolin still left in this wool which will make for a nice smooth spinning experience, leaving your hands lightly moisturized after each time you spin.

You will get 4 ready to spin batts each weighing between .8 and 1 oz. For a total of 3.2-4 oz of fiber.

Hand Picked before washing and dyeing, and again before carding, to get as smooth a batt as possible

As with many hand carded or small mill processes, there may be a small amount of vegetable matter that falls out of the wool as you spin, I endevour to get as much as possible out, but there is always some that seems to escape my notice.

The colours in this batt were inspired by a photograph of a prairie sunset here in Alberta. Blue, Purple, Pink, Orange and Green.

All wool is dyed with professional acid dyes in my home studio, near Westlock Alberta.
Batts are carded on my vintage drum carder.

My home and studio is a smoke free, pet and child friendly environment.
