Linen Rayon Blend: 55% linen/45% rayon, 44 x 38 threads per inch, 52” wide, 5.6 oz/square yard, Great for light weight jackets, flowing pants, shirts, dresses, window drapes, theater costumes. I love it for soft tops and gaucho pants. It quilts into lovely garments as well as quilted blankets.
Mottled is a technique of minimal stirring that gives the dye interesting uneven pathways as it attaches to the cloth.
Shibori is a traditional Japanese cloth decorating art. Traditionally Shibori is dyed in Indigo. Here I use the techniques with many colors creating some fascinating color pathways. Resists can be clips, ties, and clamped blocks and variations of each
All fabric is pre-washed and dyed with care and attention to detail. Each piece is individual in characteristics, and no 2 pieces are exactly alike.
All fabric is dyed and stored in a smoke free, pet free home.
Care: All fabrics are dyed using professional Procion MX grade dyes, and are washed thoroughly after dyeing, although some light bleeding may occur. Use caution when washing. Cold water wash is recommended. Fabric should not continue to shrink, but it may bleed for a few washings. I use a SHOUT sheet or other similar product.
