I love working with the random colour changes of hand-dyed yarn! The idea for this neckwarmer started some time ago after I had been spinning some yarn and wanted a pattern that would work with the variations of colour and thickness of a handspun. I found a single row scarf pattern devised for handspun yarn which produced a double-sided ridged scarf and have developed the principles of a reversible knitted fabric further to incorporate the shapings and buttonholes of this garment. There is a generous amount of stretch at the lower edge, allowing it to sit comfortably on your shoulders inside your winter coat for snug fit and to keep out the chills. The addition of handmade polymer clay buttons in co-ordinating colours gives your neckwarmer a unique finish and enables it to be worn in several ways. Hope you enjoy knitting ‘Hug’!
