A traditional counted cross stitch sampler pattern that comes as three downloadable digital files including blackwork depicting sheep, numbers and the ancient method of sheep counting beginning yan, than, tether meaning one, two, three.

A visit to the National Wool Museum in Wales prompted me to create this design which includes sheep shears, teasels that were once used to brush the wool and meadow flowers as well as a flock of sheep with blackwork fleeces.
