This is an early rimlock in cast iron with brass moving parts one of the best made in the Victorian era circa 1820-1840. It is approx. 4 ins by 5 ins, a solid refurbished lock that was stripped of years of paint and resprayed black as it was originally. The keeper is a cast iron reproduction we have had made as they don't usually come in with a door and are left behind on the frame. One of the locks is pitted due to wear and tear and would be the last one offered for sale unless asked for.
