Box elder burl is one of my favorite figured woods to work with. When you have a good piece, you can really bring out the figure with a little dye. I've decided to go with a blue dye for this pen for a nice clean look paired with the satin silver hardware. While this pen style looks expensive, it is certainly an affordable option for anyone looking for a great looking, and writing, pen.
Elegant Beauty pens are friction fit vs my usual pens that are press fit together. That means it has a little more give in it than most styles. It's not going to fall apart on you but I wanted to make sure to mention that. You advance and retract the ink by twisting the bottom half of the pen. To replace the ink you just pull the entire bottom part out of the pen body and twist off the mechanism. If it was tightly pressed into the pen body, you wouldn't be able to work the pen or replace the ink.
These beautiful pens use standard Parker style ink cartridges. I offer a number of upgrades for them and you can also find them at office supply stores or various online retailers. All my upgrade options are premium Parker brand ink. If you do upgrade, I will include the standard black cartridge as well.
Shipping is included in my pricing for US locations. I also include a clear pen tube to protect your pen in transit. If you are gifting this pen, I highly recommend upgrading to the handsome black gift box to complete the look of your gift. (It's a lot easier to wrap too!)
