What are Carrier Beads, you ask? Carrier beads are a support bead for a peyote strip, made from acrylic, with two holes for stringing. Each carrier bead is 17x9x5mm.
Using Miyuki Delica seed beads, size 11, you would weave a thin peyote strip of 6 beads across (just 3 beads per row!) & 50 rows long...zip stitch that into a loop, and slip on to the carrier bead. Using pattern and color variations for these strips, your design possibilities are endless!
This listing is for a set of 10 carrier beads, in a neutral gray color. For a bracelet, I would recommend a minimum of 10 carrier beads (for a clasped bracelet - 15 for a stretch bracelet). For a necklace, 25 to 30 carrier beads would work well. There is no extra shipping cost for additional sets purchased.
BONUS: With your purchase of carrier beads, I will include several peyote pattern ideas AND a mini tutorial for making your peyote strips & loops.
If you would like to get some design inspiration, I would encourage you to look in Pinterest, and search for the term "Trägerperlen" (which translates, from German, to Carrier Beads). In the interest of full disclosure, some of the photos I have used above are from Pinterest. The many beautiful necklaces, bracelets and even earrings are amazing.
Please be sure to note that this listing is for the Carrier Beads ONLY! Not the finished jewelry designs that I am using as an example/inspiration.
