These pendants have been painted by the Dry Gulch gals in our studio in the Ozarks area of Missouri. Adding life to handmade jewelry by painting plain metal components is one of our favorite things to do. Our hand painted pendants can take up to to 2 days to complete in our studio!
These pendants are made of an antique silver plated base metal alloy and have been hand painted with metal-specific paints and patinas. No two pendants are ever exactly alike because of their hand painted nature. The back side has been painted. These pendants have been distressed and sealed with a clear matte spray. The matte sealer protects the color and imparts a rustic effect.
These pendants are part of our Ancient Alchemy collection of creative findings and components. Our Ancient Alchemy line looks like it's just been unearthed in an archeological dig with its rich turquoises, red rusts and sea greens! The patinas we use on these pieces take up to 12 hours to work their rusty magic. Our patinas actually create rust and verdigris on the components, so we always seal our pieces with layers of clear matte sealer.
This anchor pendant is small in size at 1-3/8" inches wide by 1-3/4" inches long. The photos in this listing include a ruler so you can see how big the pendant is. The loop is 4mm.
