Cardboard Box that originally held Dewhurst's Sylko Perle No. 5 thread and would have originally come from a haberdashery shop and I seem to have collected quite a few spools of crochet cotton and as I do not crochet they are superfluous to need.
I have been keeping some of them in the Dewhurst box and will keep them this way.
There are seven different colours, five cream shades , one green , two blues, one orange, one pink/cream mix and one green pink mix.
The thicknesses are varied but I can see that the ones with labels are saying 50, 60 and 80 . These are by J & P Coats. As can be seen from the photographs the cottons are not new and have cotton used but if you are looking to make something with vintage cottons and already have more or just want them for display purposes they are great.
Box measures 9 1/2" X 4 " X 1 1/2". On end has Article No. F602 10 Balls Each 10 Grammes - about 50 Yds Made In Gt. Britain and the box has a lavender colour panel with the numbers 811 , the other end has Dewhurst's Sylko Perle No. 5
No rips or tears to ends but it is a little grubby and there is buffing to two corners plus some creasing. There is 150 in pencil on the bottom.
