This beautiful Cherry Yarn Bowl is hand turned from a solid Cherry Wood Blank, and is one of a kind. I am a knitter and fiber craft person myself as well as a wood turner so I know we love pretty tools, Right? Whether you knit or crochet this art yarn bowl will bring you a lifetime of joy. Cherry is one of my very favorite woods to turn and embellish. I love the rich warm tones that peek through the milk paint. I also like to embellish with carving, so this one sports some lively birch leaves well as holes for needles. The pyro textured leaves are highlighted with copper metallic guilt paste. The darker bottom is textured with a faux basket weave pattern.
This one measures 7 inches in diameter and 4 inches deep. Plenty of room for your sock, mitts or scarf or shawl project. Keeps your lovely expensive yarns clean and off the floor.
Each of my yarn bowls are one of a kind though some may have similarities. I have finished this bowl with light turquoise and dark green milk paint and many coats of satin lacquer to assure a smooth resilient finish. You will find your yarn bowl easy to pack in your tote if needed with no worries it will shatter like ceramic bowls might. Wood does need to be kept dry and out of direct sunlight to protect the color.
Please feel free to convo me with any questions. I love to talk fiber and wood!
