Antique small square Edwardian glass rhinestone paste button 5/8ths ins x 5/8ths ins (1.7cm) It dates from the Edwardian era ca 1910s .
The glass paste stones are set in enclosed brass or brass alloy cups on the reverse and have 4 claws on the top side. Each rhinestone is is approx 3mm diameter set in a 4mm diameter closed cup The shank is a semi- circular loop. It is in very good antique condition the stones sparkle well and have not darkened. The metal at the back has darkened and appears slightly pitted. This is commensurate with age and the type of material used and does not affect the appearance of the button from the top side. A lovely antique button that is over a 100 yeras old and would make a great addition to your collection.It would be the perfect touch for a vintage project or look stunning on a garment ,accessory or utilised in jewellery
