What if all of us could see ourselves and others in the heroine and hero of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice"? Shakespeare's characters are reinterpreted all the time -- in this series of pantins, bookmarks, postcards, and kits, Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy are reinterpreted as having come to Regency England from Africa, China, India, and Spain/Mexico -- with the addition of a curvy Elizabeth. Traditional Austen characters are also available. (Please write if you would like to suggest another variation.)
This is a DIY KIT for a jumping jack paper doll in the style of an old-fashioned, dancing French "Pantin": Chinese / Asian ELIZABETH BENNET of Jane Austen's "Pride & Prejudice".
This DIY Kit includes: a print of the watercolor design on semi-gloss card stock (Copyright: 2016, William & Jane); printed instructions; metal fasteners; colored embroidery thread; heavy white thread; a needle. The whole comes in a large envelope for optional gifting. The finished pantin is about 8 1/2" high.
