COLORWAY: Avonlea

L.M. Montgomery's classic "Anne of Green Gables" series still inspires and comforts her readers' hearts today. Avonlea is inspired from one of the many perfectly captured descriptions of October found in her first novel of the series:

"It was October again...a glorious October, all red and gold, with mellow mornings when the valleys were
filled with delicate mists as if the spirit of autumn had poured them in for the sun to drain -- amethyst, pearl,
silver, rose, and smoke-blue. The dews were so heavy that the fields glistened like cloth of silver and there
were such heaps of rustling leaves in the hollows of many-stemmed woods to run crisply through."

As each skein is hand-dyed, colors may vary slightly. The skeins pictured are the dye lot your skein of yarn will come from. I have done my very best to capture the color of the yarn as accurately as possible; however, colors may vary from monitor to monitor.

All of my yarn is hand-dyed in a smoke, perfume, and pet-free home. After dyeing, I hand-wash the skeins of yarn in Dr. Brommer's Pure Castille soap.

If you'd like your yarn wound into a cake, please select the product in my shop titled "Wind my Skein into a Cake" and add it to your cart for checkout.

Suggested Care: wash gently with cool water, lay flat to dry.

This fingering weight non-superwash yarn is so plushy and feels like a more true, wooly experience when working with it. Non-superwash yarns are essential to felted projects, and it's a more natural form of the yarn itself. Lovely!
