Like many generations of wand makers before him, Brigham employs a discerning eye to select only the finest woods in the world. Much of the wood used in crafting wands in his shop is imported from many thousands of miles away. He then uses the finest tools and finishes to create a one-of-a-kind wand with magical properties. Apparent imperfections in each wand (worm holes, asymmetry, rough spots, scratches) are calculated to simulate the wand’s authenticity and age.
This amazing 11 ½ inch wand is made of maple wood. Maple has 128 species, most of which are native to Asia, with a number also appearing in Europe, northern Africa, and North America. Maple is a very common and versatile wood used for furniture and woodwind instruments, guitar necks and drums. This wand is called “Illusio Optical” (Optical Illusion) for its simple yet, subtle design that is easy on the eyes. When you buy this wand, you can be assured there will never be another like it.
