This lovely 3 ply worsted weight yarn is a beautifully soft heathered brown. It was the creative combination of the prime fleece from my mahogany brown female Birdie and my creamy white female Daisy. Each skein is about 6 /12 ounces and 250 yards long.
This yarn may contain a minute amount of vegetable matter (vm) and was hand skirted at our farm. The process of hand skirting means I personally laid hands on my fleece and diligently tried to remove as much foreign matter as possible.
The yarn was spun by Stonehedge Fiber Mill, a pure Michigan business, located in East Jordan. The fiber was a product of the nuturing that takes place at our farm, Zephyr Hill Farm, located in the heart of Michigan, the mitten state.
Suri yarn is as soft as cashmere, warmer than wool and has the luster of silk. It has an elegant drape, blends well with other fibers, is versatile and provides warmth and substance. It contains no lanolin and comes in several natural colors and dyes beautifully.
