Cathedral is an airy garter stitch and lace cowl designed to be a transitional piece between seasons. Its petite size and lightweight texture make it the perfect cowl to throw over a jacket or sweater when the air begins to crisp. Knit seamlessly from the bottom up, Cathedral demonstrates straightforward construction. Combining the simplicity of garter stitch ridges with beautiful wavy lace panels, Cathedral features both mindless and captivating sections for an overall enjoyable knit. The stitch pattern also allows for the cowl to drape nicely around your neck, making it a well-fitting and functional garment.
For beginners looking for a challenge, or experienced knitters looking for a lovely cowl.

About the Name: Cathedral My patterns are named after literature that has made an impact on me. Cathedral is named after the short story “Cathedral” by Raymond Carver. Similarly to the way art informs the narrator’s perspective, knitting has shown me the value that art brings to my life. While working the lace in this piece, I was also inspired by beautiful and timeless cathedral windows.
