Color - Bacchus with Pink and red This yarn is a two ply yarn. One strand is natural black from my alpaca, Bacchus. The other strand is a hand dyed, red and pink BFL (Blue Faced Leicester) wool from my stash. The two fibers together offer a nice blend of lovely characteristics. Strength, elasticity and sheen abound. It is nice and soft and lovely to work with. It would be an asset to a very wide variety of projects.
Approx 3.8 oz, 262 yards of alpaca and BFL (Blue Faced Leicester) wool. 2 Ply handspun yarn. Averaging from 10-18 WPI Medium/light Weight Yarn.
A message about plying yarn. Plying the singles gives them balance. A single strand pulls in the direction it was spun. Spinning two or three of these spun singles in the opposite direction balances out the twist so it won't pull either way. Plying also increases the strength of the yarn and adds elasticity.
Check your pattern recommendations to be sure if this yarn is suitable for your needs. Hand wash and lay flat to dry. Not suitable for felting. Color varies from monitor to monitor. I have tried to offer the most reliable photos as possible.
I ship USPS 1st class mail for all orders under 13 ounces unless you request otherwise. After 13 ounces all orders are mailed priority mail. If you live outside the USA the same rules apply. If you want insurance let me know and I will bill you for the cost. I am not responsible for your package if it doesn't arrive so get insurance if you are worried about it. I have NEVER (to date June 2016) had a package not arrive safe and sound with or without insurance!
I am fairly relaxed about payments. If you order and haven't paid I will let you know. If you fail to communicate with me I will wait at least a week (more if I have dealt with you before:) to cancel the sale and move on.

I want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are unhappy for any reason PLEASE contact me and give me the opportunity to make you happy:)
I have a non smoking home but I do have a cat. I store my yarn away from the cat but he does live here so if you are deathly allergic to cats you should be aware of this.
