Clawson adjustable drill with multiple adjustable head and handle positions whereby the drill head and handle may be positioned at multiple angles to each other. The drill was invented by Ira Clawson in 1940. There is storage for bits in the end of the red handle. There are no bits with this drill. Included with the drill is an old vintage hammer. This drill and hammer would make a great addition for any collection and look great as vintage industrial decor.
An objective of Ira's invention was to provide a novel means of mounting the chuck shaft in the hub of the drill so that the chuck shaft could be swung throughout a large angle and held in any one of a number of different positions throughout this angle. The handle may also be adjusted to many different angles relative to the hub of the drill.
The drill measures 10" L. The hammer measures 10 1/4" L.
