Item details

FUZZY NAVEL: This is a 6 piece 100% wool felt value gradation, ranging from clear popsicle orange to pale peach. If you haven't tried value gradations yet, you should! Gradation sets are a wonderful way to add dimension and depth to your rug hooking and applique'!

Fuzzy Navel looks great with Daffodil and Ruby, shown in the last two photos.

Included in this listing are 6 pieces of hand dyed wool, each measuring approx. 6.5" x 16", dyed on buttery soft, virgin wool flannel, which I have carefully felted and hand dyed in small batches, to bring you lovely texture and saturated color. Arranged in coordinated bundles--perfect for your rug hooking, sewing, applique' and craft projects. Please note that this wool is dyed by hand and some subtle variegation in color is part of its natural beauty.

Don't see what you need in my listings? Drop me a note! I love to hear from fellow quilters and fiber artists, and am delighted to fill special orders.

First class shipping within the US is FREE. Please allow up to one week for me to dye and ship your wool. Thank you!

Additional policies

Cotton: I take special precautions to ensure that your fabric is colorfast, by washing multiple times in very hot water and Synthrapol and treating the fabrics with a professional dye fixative. Please be advised that some household laundry detergents have a high pH, which can re-activate the dye molecules and cause them to bleed in the wash. I recommend washing our fabrics in your water with your detergent before using in your projects, just to be sure. When washing your finished item for the first time, you may wish to use a color absorbing sheet.

Wool: Our hand dyed wool felt has been washed and dried and is ready to use in your projects. Prewashing is not necessary, however, if you choose to prewash your wool, please wash gently by hand in cool water, squeeze the excess water out, and lay flat to dry. You may want to “block” your wool while damp. You may also use a warm iron to flatten and square it up. Your finished project can be gently laundered by hand in cool water and air dried.

SPECIAL ORDERS: Our listings here at Etsy are not all-inclusive. If you want something special, by all means, DON'T BE SHY! We want to hear from you. You can mix and match, pick and choose, create your own color combinations, request different quantities, different base fabrics, different surface textures....whatever you like, we can make it happen. Minimum size order on custom listings is an eighth yard per color.
