This is a unique hand made junk journal on the theme of the Wizard of Oz.
The designer paper I have used predominantly in this journal is based on the original MGM movie with stills and artistic renderings of the scenes and characters from the film. There are also some pages included from the Graphic 45 Magic of Oz paper pad as well as other craft papers.
There are 52 pages in all, 104 pages front and back, not including half pages and all the pages have been inked with distress ink in Vintage Photo and Gathered Twigs to give a slightly grungy look. The book measures roughly 8.5 inches by 6 inches and includes a wide variety of papers to journal and draw on, add photos and personal ephemera. There are handmade envelopes, paper bags, tuck spots, pockets, journaling cards and tags.
The book covers have been inked with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink and coated with Mod Podge Hard Coat to add durability. The front cover has been collaged and Glossy Accents used for emphasis and to add dimension. There are brass book corners on the front and back covers for protection. The book has been hand bound using my Bind it All.
This is a handmade item and any imperfections add to the uniqueness and character of the piece.
