Take the Cake Color description: glazes of deep brown with passes of reddish chestnut and chocolate.
Inspiration: I adore baking and it all started with a beloved Easy Bake Oven at age 8. I can still remember my first cake. It was a fudgy concoction, and after it was fully baked by lightbulb, I proudly frosted it and set it before my family of four. My parents played along but my stinker of an older brother snatched it up, gobbled it down, and shrugged his shoulders when I wailed that the Lilliputian sized treat was meant for all. I have baked my brother many desserts since then. He might not notice, but I occasionally serve him last. Because clearly I am over it.
This base is soft and scrumptious. Perfect for a sweater, baby knits, and accessories. It is a fantastic blend of superwash merino and nylon "neps" (the tweedy flecks) and offers great bounce from the merino.
Each skein is lovingly dyed with professional acid dyes, then heat set to ensure colorfastness. I do my very best to accurately capture the colors of my yarns, however, due to the nature of hand-dyed yarns, as well as differences in monitor settings, some variation may exist.
Suitable for machine washing on gentle cycle and cool water, but I recommend hand washing to best preserve the beauty of your hand knits. Lay flat to dry.
