Pirate Skull Messenger Bag is our first bag geared for boys and girls alike, and makes for the perfect scrap busting sewing pattern! Featuring 15 pages of detailed instructions walking you through each step, a 1/2" seam allowance included, and full-size printer ready pattern pieces. My patterns are designed for easy and fast construction, making for an excellent craft show item, or quick birthday gift!

Skill Level: Beginner

Supplies needed:

• Sewing machine
• Coordinating threads
• ¼ yard of exterior fabric, I used quilting weight cotton
• Scrap of fabric or felt for skull applique
• Optional: Double-Sided Fusible Webbing for the skull applique (if using a material that frays)
• ¼ yard of lining fabric, quilting cotton
• Sewing needle
• ¼ yard SF 101 Fusible Interfacing
• 1” long piece of Velcro
• Optional: 3/4” of cotton webbing, if not making a bag strap
• Iron
• Measuring tape or ruler
