This is a collection of 44 hand-stitched hexagonal quilt pieces that are 10 1/2" to 11 1/2" depending if they are measured point to point. They are all uniform in size. I believe that most of them are made from feed sack cloth; however, there are some that appear to be other fabric from that era or within a few years. They came with a Christmas stamp stuck to one of the pieces dated 1933 (see photo). The colors in the fabric are very nice. There is some very slight yellowing on the edges of a few pieces, but very little and very light. There are 4 additional pieces that do not have the muslin edging on them. These pieces appear to be a bit newer than the others.
If you are a quilter, you can appreciate how much care and work went into these pieces.
