Many of our towns across the country have a courthouse with a cupola on their town square. This pattern featuring such a courthouse is a breeze to hook. I wanted to try to reverse hook a background on a rug and this pattern was great to try it on as the motifs are simple and large.
This pattern is 16”x28” and is hand drawn on Dorr primitive linen. I allow approx 4” of extra linen on all sides to allow room for placing it on your frame. I finish the sides with 2 rows of zigzagging to prevent the linen from fraying. When hand drawing the pattern onto the linen I am very careful to get it drawn straight on the grain.
Included with the pattern is a color picture of the completed rug.
Note: This listing is for the pattern only, not the finished rug.
