These cement soy candles add a warm, personal touch to your home. Individually hand casted, every cement container is truly unique. Each 12 oz candle burns 40+ hours and is made to order with hand-poured fragranced soy wax of your choosing. Once your soy candle is finished burning, you can recycle your cement container as a succulent planter, a pencil cup, a cell phone sound amplifier, etc. For scent descriptions, see below. Dimensions: 4x4 inches (Props not included).

Portions of the proceeds will be used to support Physical Therapists such as my husband and myself to participate in international medical missions! Here at Barton Burns, we can ensure you are getting an eco-friendly burn! We use 100% cotton braided wicks that are lead & zinc free. Our soy candles are made using wax from American grown soy beans and delicately infused with non-toxic, phtlalate-free essential and fragrance oils of the highest quality. No harsh chemicals or harmful carcinogens floating in the air for us! Barton Burns candles are made in small batches of just three to four candles at a time, allowing us to pay attention to the smallest details. We package our candles using kraft paper and boxes made from recycled materials!

Scent Descriptions:
-Sierra Pine: This is our most popular scent and is very classy with hints of relaxing cedarwood, balsam, fir, and moss. (If you like Sierra Pine you might also enjoy Mint Mojito & Apple Orchard).

-Mint Mojito: This fresh and invigorating scent has hints of lime, sugar, and sprigs of mint that is great in every season.

-Apple Orchard: Not sour like green apples, not heavy like apple pie... This scent is both warm and spicy with hints of vanilla, sugar, clove, nutmeg, apple, and ginger.

-Honey Rose: Light, sweet, and anything but old potpourri. Our new scent with golden roses and honey is refreshing and not too overwhelming.

-Alpine Birch - Similar to Sierra Pine, but more earthy. This new year-round scent is sophisticated with crisp cypress, pine needles, sweet tonka beans, and cedarwood.

-Peach Rings: Delicious like the soft, juicy peach ring candy from your childhood... minus the sugary stomach ache you get from eating 20 pieces in 3 minutes. This light, natural, and refreshing scent is infused with peach, plum, raspberry, jasmine, and violet.

-Beach House: Imagine you are sitting on the porch overlooking the ocean. The white curtains are flowing and you catch the sweet blend of light coconut, lime, and sweet pineapple.

-Mandle: Think of a very attractive fashionable man on his way into the city for the night. This scent is strong with a base of amber and vanilla. If you enjoy the scents similar to Old Spice, this one is for you!

-Snickerdoodle: This mouth-watering scent smells just like the cookie with hints of creamy vanilla, melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, and warm honey.

-Pumpkin Pancakes: This yummy scent has hints of nutmeg, all spice, clove, molasses, and brown sugar. It really does smell like pumpkin pancakes! Not a pumpkin fan? We recommend Apple Orchard :)

-Lemon Cookie: Not too zesty like a lemon bar, not too sour like a lemon slice... think warm lemon chiffon with powdered sugar and cream.

*You may notice your cement container has tiny holes around the edges. No worries, these are caused from small air bubbles that occur when cement is mixed by hand!

Just like any sidewalk you walk on, there may be some cracks. As your candle burns, you may notice some tiny fissures on your cement container. This is completely normal and in fact will give each container a unique mosaic look. Each cement container has also been treated with a non-toxic, non-hazardous sealer that will prevent any wax from seeping out. You can reduce the amount of fissures by keeping the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch before each burn and not burning your candle more than 4 hours at a time*

FAQs

Always trim the wick to ¼ inch before lighting for the best burn. To prevent tunneling, be sure not to blow out your candle until it has burned a melt pool all the way to the edge of the container (usually 1-2 hours). Always burn candle within sight and on a level surface. Keep away from drafts and vibrations. Keep out of reach from children and pets. Do not burn more than 4 hours at a time. If you are looking to recycle your candle containers, scrape out the remaining candle wax with a spoon and use rubbing alcohol and a paper towel to wipe the container clean.

We package our candles using kraft paper and boxes made from recycled materials.

It is possible for some candles to develop a light flaky appearance once the melt pool has settled after burning your candle. Many soy candle enthusiasts look for this as an indicator that the candle is made from pure soy.

We love making candles for weddings, businesses, and gifts! Certain quantity requirements must be met for wholesale availability. Please contact us and tell us what you are looking for!

At Barton Burns, we frost all glass containers by hand which gives your candle a very delicate matte finish. With frosted glass, your candle will give off a gorgeous glow when burning that you cannot get by just having clear glass. When you recycle your glass container, the label will also peel off with more ease and leave less residue. To remove the rest of your frost, run your container under warm water and scrape it off with a metal sponge. :)

Hot throw: The way the candle smells when it is burning. Cold throw: The way the candle smells in solid form. Due to the shape of the containers and the way the containers heat up when burning, our strongest hot throw would be the cement candles and then the apothecary candles. Each nose is different, so each opinion can be different, but this was the general consensus when going through beta testing.

I love my cream cement candle! I ordered Mint Mojito. It is so refreshing! I leave it on my bedside table! It burns all the way to the edge if you read instructions and not blow out candle too early. I'm going to probably use it for my succulents and write like a cute phrase on it or chalk paint a design =] I think pink and gold paint would be cute! Thanks barton burns! I will def be ordering some for Christmas!!!
