“Bumper crop of hickory nuts this year. Can hardly walk without steppin’ on some. Don’t know if it’s cause of the rain or my neighbor huntin’ squirrels. He makes a mean squirrel tamale!” Gramma Kakie
Most people just ignore hickory nuts, because they are a hard nut to crack. But I love them! I have found so many uses for every part, like these hickory hull feet and toes. They make great assemblage creature appendages! They are also good as the base petals for assemblage flowers, as shown in one of the pictures.
This listing is for about 1 pound of feet and toes which are the outer hull of the hickory nut. They are various sizes, colors and configurations. Some are 3 part, some are two part. Some are widely open, some are somewhat closed. They are shipped in a 5X5X5 box as shown in one of the pictures, which also shows the approximate quantity of pieces in the box. The larger 3-part feet can measure about 2 inches across and the smaller ones about an inch.
If actual shipping cost is more than $2 less than estimated, I will refund the difference. Photo props and hickory hull example creations not included.
