This batik is called Sablon Batik. It was produced using the screen printing method rather than the traditional wax resist dying method, hence a cheaper and faster method of production. It is still beautiful nonetheless.
It is in abstract and geometric pattern and is 100% cotton. The fabric is meant to be worn as a sarong ( wrapped around the waist and worn like a long skirt) by the locals in Indonesia. The contrasting panel is meant to go on the front or back when worn.
Use it in all your craft and sewing projects. It will look stunning simply as a wall hanging.
