How to purchase:

We give you many options for your cut of choice in this shop. You can select the length of cut, as well as the quantity in the drop down menus above the green "add to cart" button. We cut continuously to allow you to cut as you please for your project. Each piece is cut fresh from the bolt (see below) using a rotary blade, giving you the best straight edge as possible.

If you are wanting to purchase 1 7/8 yard fabric, choose each variation to add to your cart. When we prepare your item for shipment, we will cut the fabric one continuous length at 1 7/8 yard. Of course, if you have a small work space, and have purchased over 4-yards of fabric, we will divide the fabric into whatever increments you need to get the job done. Please specify at checkout how you would like your yardage cut into smaller workable units. We will not cut strips, squares, etc. For example, if you are purchasing 5-yards, but want it cut into five 1-yard pieces or a 2-yard and a 3-yard piece, we will do so.

If you have any questions about this listing or shop policies, please send us a convo!

FAQs

"That much for a quilt?!" We understand that the price of a quilt seems high; however, quilts are a labor of love and hard work. We are not wholesale, we work with a tabletop machine, and we can garuntee most of what you see is custom. There is a simple way in which we price each item in the shop. The basic formula is materials + time, which we apply to all items in the shop. For larger quilted items, we have some more to add to the equation. Cost of Materials = will always be what we spend Cost of Construction = $10.00/hr Cost of Quilting = $0.03 per square inch Cost of Binding and Finishing a Quilt = $0.15 per inch

To ensure long life of your quilted item, proper care is essential. Here are a few things you should know: It is fine to wash your quilted item in a washing machine. Use cold water and gentle detergent, on a short cycle. It is okay to partially dry the quilted item in a dryer; however, to fully dry the item, it is best to place outside on a sunny day, or lay flat on a drying rack. Washing and drying a clean quilted item will shorten it’s life. Quilted items used daily need washing once a year. When not in use, the quilted item should be stored in a cool, dark, and dry place. Do not iron your quilted item. Ironing will cause the stitching and fabric to shrink and weaken.

We take custom orders! Custom orders are a process of collaboration with you to ensure the right fabric and pattern are found. If you are looking for a quilt for a gift or yourself, we will keep you in the loop the entire time. From the pattern, to the fabric choices, to assembly, and completion, you will know exactly what you are getting. Message us to set up a consultation and estimate on a custom quilt.

Many people do not enjoy the process of binding a quilt, but I do. I find it relaxing and my most favorite part of the whole process. If you have a quilt, or several that, need binding, I will do it for you. I use the traditional method of binding, setting it by machine, and laying it by hand. Contact me to arrange binding for a quilt. Turn around time is 7-10 days. $0.15 per inch

Cotton, cotton, and, yes, cotton. All of our quilts are constructed using 100% cotton fabric, cotton thread, and cotton batting, unless otherwise stated.

When we create, we never prewash fabric. This is a personal choice in the process. Some quilters do and some don't. Because we do not prewash, and we use 100% cotton, you will get a "crinkled" quilt, mostly around the stitching. Even if the fabric is prewashed, a crinkle effect can still occur because it is impossible for us to prewash cotton thread. Don't worry, it is not ruined! It adds to the personality of the quilt. Just like the quilts of yesterday that our Grandmothers made (they never prewashed either), the first washing will create this affect. Do not iron or try to get rid of those crinkles, it will stress the thread and cause it to fray.

Etsy does not provide the ability for items to be put on a "layaway" or payment plan, but, through Paypal, we can work on that. Our shop will be happy to provide you with a payment plan on items of $100 or more. Please contact us to further discuss how this works.
